Explore ways of creating your very own pieces of art using objects and negatives
Practise exposing and developing the paper to produce beautiful prints
Each person will produce a variety of bespoke pieces of art, learn how to archival mount ready to frame and put on your walls
You also get to take away a DIY cyanotype art kit complete with everything you will need to continue to print at home. (Kit to be collected at the workshop)
Cyanotype is one of the earliest forms of photographic process (It dates back to the mid-1800s) distinctive for its Prussian blue monochrome prints produced in sunlight. This is an effective way of introducing newcomers to photography and the principles of light and light sensitive materials.

A sense of playfulness
Materials that you would like to make prints, for example: flowers, feathers, buttons, leaves with interesting shapes, semi-transparent materials, ideas for drawings or paper cut-outs, negatives or digital print-outs onto transparencies.
An apron or old clothes (splashes of the liquids can stain)
And lastly, your lovely selves!
Tickets will be emailed to you and the DIY Art Kit is to be collected at the workshop. If you cannot attend the workshop, please let us know at least 48 hours prior to the workshop and we can offer you a refund or an exchange for another workshop.
