TECHNIQUE
Circular Reflections In Heaven Study (XSmall) was created by photographing a hand-cut collage of female portraiture and the surface textures of chemigrams. The digital negative was then contact printed onto handmade, hand shaped paper that had been brush coated with chemicals, before drying in a dark room. Once exposed to light, the piece was washed to develop a cyan blue colour, pressed dry and then hand finished with 24ct gold leaf.
