Inspiration
This limited edition print celebrates how urban landscapes and the natural world coexist. Working with natural forms meeting urban space and architectural structures, the reflect on how humans interact with the spaces around us and think about sustainability, ecology and the environment.

Technique
Fields Of Gold was created by contact printing seeded blades of grass onto sensitised cyanotype paper painted into architectural structures.

After coating the handmade paper with light-sensitive chemistry, it is left to dry in a dark room. The natural forms are then laid onto and contact printed onto the paper by exposing to daylight (UV rays). The print is then processed by thoroughly washing in water to remove any unexposed solution. It can then be hung to dry, developing to full density Prussian blue after 24 hours. It is finished with 24 carat gold leaf and crushed rose petal pigments.

Mount
We offer optional mounting for all of our fine art prints. The artwork will be archivally mounted using a snow-white mount board, placing the artwork behind the window mat to protect the inks and paper texture when framing.
