Inspiration
This chemigram was inspired by the planet Jupiter and pays homage to the Roman mythological tale of the Dyaus Pita (Sky Father Deity), from which Jupiter was named.

Collection
From the series Celestial Mechanics - The Ides Of Jupiter.

Technique
Jupiter The Dyaus Pita was created from an original chemigram. The unique negative was made using a technique called camera-less or alternative process photography.

The planet-like image was created by painting chemicals and resits directly onto photographic paper and left to expose in daylight. The paper is repeatedly then placed into baths of developer, water and fix to dissolve the applied chemistry. The result was then professionally scanned.
