Study Of Amelia In Gold (Small) was created by photographing a hand-cut collage of photographic portraiture and illustrations of birds. The digital negative was then contact printed onto paper that had been hand-brushed with chemicals, before drying in a dark room. Once exposed to light, the piece was washed to develop a cyan blue colour, dried and hand finished with 24ct gold leaf.
