Inspiration
This chemigram was inspired by the planet Jupiter, named after Ganymede and one of Galileo's four moons. A tribute to the Greek mythological character Ganymede, Zeus' cupbearer and beloved, he was placed amongst the stars as the constellation Aquarius.

Technique
The Age Of Ganymede was created from an original chemigram. The unique negative was made using a technique called camera-less or alternative process photography.
The planet-like image was created by painting chemicals and resits directly onto photographic paper and left to expose in daylight. The paper is repeatedly then placed into baths of developer, water and fix to dissolve the applied chemistry. The result was then professionally scanned.
